Irish Medtech Skillnet Strategy 2023 - 2025
Irish Medtech Skillnet unveiled its strategy, "Talent to Thrive," aiming to support the Medtech sector in Ireland from 2023-2025. The strategy sets ambitious targets to enhance engagement with business and industry, positioning Irish Medtech Skillnet as a key talent advisor and catalyst for skills transformation.
At the launch event in Limerick’s National Advanced Manufacturing Centre, Dave Flynn, Director of Business Networks at Skillnet Ireland, emphasized the growing need for enterprise-driven talent development. The event featured informative speakers, panel discussions, and attendees from industry, the Ibec Irish Medtech Association, Skillnet Ireland, and educational institutions.
Sinead Keogh, Head of Sectors and Director at Ibec Medtech & Engineering Sectors, highlighted the strategy's importance in maintaining Ireland's status as a Global Medtech Hub. She noted that "Talent to Thrive" will provide a roadmap to leverage strengths and achieve new heights.
Ann O'Connell, Head of Funded Projects at Ibec, praised the strategy, noting its development through multi-stakeholder consultation and its focus on both technical and non-technical skills to meet industry needs now and in the future.
